Morley Glass and Glazing, the UK’s largest manufacturer of ScreenLine® integral blinds, has seen 29% annual growth in sales of its Uni-Blinds® sealed units with 22mm and 27mm cavities due to increased demand for larger windows including sliding patio doors.

Ian Short, managing director, explains: “Typical domestic windows and doors feature 28mm sealed units with a 20mm cavity, into which we can fit ScreenLine® integral blinds, in a wide range of colour options. However, there is growing demand for larger windows and doors – both for the domestic and commercial markets – which require 22mm or 27mm cavities. Our Uni-Blinds® sealed units with ScreenLine® integral blinds inside can be fitted into doors and windows as large as 2 metres high and 2 metres wide.

“It’s the quality and breadth of our product range that makes us the ideal partner for fabricators and installers looking to enhance their profit opportunities and provide their customers with excellent choice and service. And all our blinds are available in just 10 days.”

Integral blinds that can be fitted into larger windows are also ideal for bi-folding and sliding patio doors providing enhanced privacy, reductions in sound intrusion and solar glare.

Sealed from any ingress of dirt, dust and moisture, integral blinds offer an easy to use, low maintenance and safe solution that can help to reduce the effect of direct sunlight and heat loss, offering protection from overheating in the summer and improved thermal insulation in the winter.

Designed for windows, doors and glass partitions, Uni-blinds® are available in Venetian or pleated styles and in a wide choice of colours. They can be operated manually, using a motorised system, solar power or sliding system.
