Anyone that turned up on 6 September 2018 in Glasgow could not have predicted what was going to happen at the second annual PIGS bash.
With more than double the numbers booked in compared to the first event in 2017, not-for-profit network People in Glazing Society organiser Sarah Ball from Balls2 Marketing, was hoping for a good turnout. She needn’t have worried because more than 60 people braved the rain and hail, to make this one of the most memorable PIGS parties ever.
“Our new venue, the Penthouse at Saint Judes was great, and the bar staff looked after us brilliantly,” says Sarah.
“The drinks flowed and at around 10pm the evening took an unexpected turn with Kirk Maxwell from Scotplas organising Karaoke in the bar.
“It went down a storm and we were still singing as the bar closed at midnight, a full hour after the official closing time for PIGS. It was an absolute blast!”
Sunil Patel. From Unique Window systems, travelled from Leicester with two colleagues to support the event. “It is the best yet,” he told Sarah and pledged continued support for the industry network.
Sponsorship is vital for the success of PIGS. All money is put behind the bar and used to get the party started.
