My client is a high volume fabricator who has an excellent opportunity for an individual with a manufacturing production management background to join as a Continuous Improvement Manager. The role is to help develop the business supplying uPVC and aluminium fenestration products to the trade division. Within the role you will identify, deploy and manage continuous improvement initiatives across the plants to deliver quantified bottom line performance improvement. Utilising your production management experience and lean manufacturing methodologies, you will improve process capability, efficiency and waste reduction. Through your effective project management, the introduction of KPIs, ‘balanced scorecards’ and effective training, you will establish and develop a sustainable culture of improvement with a workforce wide kaizen culture. Candidates must demonstrate strong continuous improvement experience within a fast-moving manufacturing environment including using Lean techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance. Possessing a demonstrable track record of delivering improvement projects and the ability to transform data analysis onto defined actions and improvements you must also have strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor and give direction effectively. Certification in management is desirable and it is essential you have a full UK driving licence as our client requires you to have the flexibility to be able to travel between the companies plants.
