Our client, a highly respected manufacturer and supplier of premium window and doors systems has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will spend their time divided between working from the Head Office in Gloucestershire and visiting their manufacturing customer base across the South of England. Whilst in the office you will be responsible to for running and maintaining the internal manufacturing facility for the purpose of R&D, producing test samples and working with suppliers to provide solutions to customers and training. Whilst on site with customers you will support, offer training, conduct regular manufacturing audits and offer effective problem solving.
The ideal candidate will have the relevant uPVC glazing product and market knowledge, excellent understanding of window systems and fabrication machinery setup. You must also have good working knowledge of production related software (Business Micros/First Degree) and a willingness to provide a high level of customer support. As an excellent communicator, you must be able to create relationships with colleagues and customers, have the ability to manage time effectively and write reports and technical documents to support findings within required deadlines.
You must be detail oriented and have methodical approach to problem solving, be comfortable in a fast paced business with ability to multitask and work under pressure with positive attitude. Further to this you must have a full UK driving license and good IT skills.
