Brief description
To oversee all aspects of;

Quality control of installation.

Quality of materials and service supplied.

Maintain our quality control systems.

Customer complaints that progress above branch level.

Surveyor management & support.

Company health & safety.

Supplier choice and negotiations.

Legal disputes with customers and suppliers

Direct duties and responsibilities
To carry out period ad hoc site inspections on quality of installations. Taking authority over but reporting issues to branch manager and dealing jointly with issues raised.
To be main point of contact re supplier quality issues that reach head office. Raise issues with suppliers and bring to resolution.
Build on and manage our quality systems. NCR monthly reports investigated, branch customer complaints, supplier issues on NCR’s
Bring to a resolution any customer complaints that progress to head office level. Taking authority over but reporting issues to branch manager and dealing jointly with issues raised.
Surveyor control and management. Monthly group meeting, NCR reports, Training, disciplinary, recruitment and dismissal.
Health & safety: To be responsible for health and safety of whole company, confirming all branch work to our policy document. Site inspections and produce records, accident investigations, maintaining staff training. Working with HR to maintain records of all training and discussions re H&S.
To be involved in negotiations with all main suppliers, re; price, quality and lead times. To negotiate new supplier contracts. To communicate to appropriate staff any new arrangements with suppliers, including IT, sales manager branch manager and admin staff.
To work with others re any legal issues with both customers and suppliers. Making the decision on best further action. This could involve negotiating settlement arrangements, compiling files for court action. Being point of contact for solicitors.

The candidates would preferably have experience in the construction industry.

Offer effective management and communication skills to bring resolution to any changes or disputes raised. Able to prioritise, organise & accomplish work.

Working as part of the head office management support team, the company is long established & secure, has over 125 staff, with numerous contracts through Cornwall and North Devon.
