Lead Auditor – MM3183

Chase Taylor Recruitment are currently working with a well-recognised accredited body within the fenestration industry, who are looking to recruit a Lead Auditor. As a lead auditor your key role will be to conduct factory audits for the certification of the companies in relation to energy rating licences applied to windows and doors. Ideally suited to an experienced auditor or someone with quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.

The role:

• To undertake annual on-site audits of manufacturing facilities of current licence holders in relation to energy rating performance certification.
• To undertake pre approval audits of applicant manufacturers looking to obtain energy rating certification.
• Associated writing of audit reports to present evaluation of conformity and recommend certification result to decision maker(s).
• Associated administrative duties, maintain database input and own diary arrangements.
• Follow up audits of corrections following non-conformities.
• Be aware of scheme limitations when providing technical guidance.
• To undertake technical reviews of Initial Type Testing (ITT) reports.
• To support the development of in-house schemes to improve technical knowledge
• To maintain professional status and business requirements and to develop new audit and product skills as required and requested.
• To understand and promote the requirements of fenestration schemes operated by the company.

The candidate:

• Have significant experience in fenestration products in association with manufacturing facilities
• Have experience with external auditing or assessments
• Have experience working within a certification body
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Be confident, outgoing, approachable and diplomatic
• Can be firm if necessary
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure

Other:

• Ability to travel, occasionally with overnight stays
