Operations Manager

MacGregor Recruitment are recruiting for an Operations Manager on behalf of our client – an established manufacturer and supplier of PVCu and Aluminium windows, doors, roofs and lanterns based in the West Midlands.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead from the front and support the wider production and logistics teams to achieve the business targets, helping to ensure the delivery of quality products to customers, on time, every time.

• You will be managing a team that includes the Production Manager, Warehouse / Distribution supervisors and SHEQ Manager
• Providing leadership and ensuring that production quality and delivery KPIs are met
  Ensure that direct labour, raw materials and fabrication resource are used effectively and efficiently
• Supply an essential link between customer services, supply chain, production, quality and despatch.
• Developing, engaging and building a dedicated and effective team
• Compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
• 5S, leading projects, develop structured training plans, operating procedures and efficiency opportunities
• Monitor the management of the fleet of 9 vehicles

Skills & Experience:

• Significant production / operations management experience within the PVCu window manufacturing sector
• Knowledge of production, despatch and warehousing processes and best practice
  5s lean six sigma knowledge is an advantage
• You will be an excellent communicator and team leader with the ability to give direction, influence, and challenge in a professional manner
• A result led, proactive, driven approach is required with the aim to succeed within a demanding and fast paced environment

The Package:

• Basic anticipated circa £45k plus a performance bonus scheme
• 25 days annual leave plus statutory
• 37.5 hour contract, 08.00-16.00 standard hours
