The Glazerite UK Group welcomed staff, customers, and suppliers to its annual Pro-Am golf day at Wellingborough Golf Club on Friday 8th July. Now in its 16th year, the event has become one of the most respected competitions in the industry calendar.
The 2022 Pro-Am tournament also coincided with the first anniversary of the Glazerite MBO, with the five-strong management team taking part on the day. They were joined by a number of industry faces, with players and sponsors also helping to raise more than £5400 for We Mind & Kelly Matters, Glazerite’s nominated charity.
30 teams made up the event, with Glazerite customers travelling from as far afield as Falkirk in Scotland for the event. The winning team was made up of Steve Hancox, Mick Plummer & Robert Smith from Goliath Homeworld, who played alongside PGA Pro James Whatley, with Mick also triumphant in the ‘Nearest the Pin’ competition.
Rob Brearley, Group Managing Director of Glazerite said of the event: “Once again, Wellingborough Golf Club hosted a brilliant day and evening for us, and we were blessed with some fantastic weather. It was great to be joined by longstanding customers and suppliers as well as some new faces. It’s such a well-respected and generously supported fixture in the calendar, and we’re looking forward to holding it again next year.”
Tim Taylor, Commercial Director, VEKA UK Group, said: “It was a pleasure to play in the annual Glazerite Golf Day. As a key VEKA customer, it was also a great opportunity to spend time with the Glazerite board and a number of their installer customers as well as raise money for such a great charity. A very enjoyable day all round!”
Sean Wollaston of M3 Global Flood Technologies added: “It was an excellent day at a superb venue and golf course. Well done Glazerite for a thoroughly enjoyable day.”
