Olsen UK – Eco House

This new build home on the outskirts of Nottingham was designed to ensure highest efficiency in the day-day running of the building as well as ease of access throughout the ground floor and patio without compromising on security.

The house, built with a timber framed construction is highly insulated using natural and recycled materials and uses double and triple glazing products from Olsen Doors & Windows throughout to maintain exceptional levels of efficiency as well as optimal operation.

Thermo HS Alu lift & slide doors were used throughout the ground floor to enable the homeowner seamless access from inside to the patio area. These doors are only fitted with internal handles which engage onto a series of catches, ensuring security is not compromised.

Throughout the rest of the house, double glazed Combi Alu windows have been installed with integral blinds for solar shading as well as privacy.

All the doors & windows are timber framed with external aluminium cladding. They have all been painted inside & out with a matching colour, RAL 7016, Anthracite Grey which contrasts with the white rendered walls, creating a striking piece of architecture.
