Olsen UK – Swandown Lodges
Swandown Lodges is a commercial development of holiday letting homes in Somerset. The priority for the developer as regards construction materials were low maintenance solutions with durability and robustness as standard. Olsen Doors & Windows supplied all the fenestration here using a selection of their aluminium-clad timber systems.
The systems used were from Olsen’s Thermo 80 Alu range (for the windows, including the angled windows), Combi Alu range (for the balcony doors) and Thermo HS Alu range for the sliding patio doors.
The door & window frames were all manufactured from laminated, engineered Pine, eliminating all imperfections such as shakes and knots in the timber, keeping only the very best samples to construct the frames from. This process makes the frames much stronger than one single piece of timber.
Along with this strong, robust frame construction external aluminium cladding is used which makes the products extremely low maintenance and durable, meaning very little time will be lost in letting revenue due to maintenance issues.
