Chase Taylor, specialist recruiters within the glazing industry, are recruiting for an experienced General Manager to be responsible for the whole production facility for a successful window and door manufacturing facility based in Norwich.
Leading the production management team you will manage the day to day running of production in the most cost effective and efficient manner, planning and agreeing production schedules, controlling stock levels, supervising, leading and motivating the production team including management of all staff including attendance, disciplinary and performance management issues.
The main responsibility is to ensure an efficient production operation and be able to plan future capacity requirements and constraints through building and planning and scheduling processes to maintain OTIF. You will manage all labour costs through planning work rotas and assigning employees according to production needs whilst analysing results for continuous improvement. You must ensure the working environment is managed to the highest standards using 5S techniques as well as managing all health and safety policies and procedures.
It is essential the successful candidate has extensive production management experience within the fenestration industry and is able to identify opportunities to ensure efficient space utilisation and maximisation of production flow.
