Stedek has stopped manufacturing its own GRP composite doors and switched to Residor. It’s the most secure GRP composite door, and it ticks all the boxes. The fast-growing Midlands fabricator needed a GRP composite door that’s PAS24:2016 certified – not PAS24:2012 – and Approved Document Q compliant, with very good thermal performance to win new build contracts.
Stedek Sales Director Richard Hammond says: “We were manufacturing our own composite doors, but recent changes to security standards meant our door wasn’t up to the right standards. We wanted to tender for new build developments, so we approached Residor.”
Residor is Approved Document Q compliant, Secured By Design, and PAS24:2016 certified. With 13 designs and 5 colours there’s a great choice, and its foam core achieves a 1.3 U Value too.
“It was really easy to switch to Residor, and we’ve had nothing less than 100% on-time-in-full delivery service. That’s why we made the decision to stop door manufacturing. We’ve got great quality doors when we need them, without the headache of manufacturing!”
Residor CEO Gareth Mobley says: “Residor makes it easy for fabricators to stop making GRP composite doors and free up much needed space and people in the factory to make more windows. And because it’s from the makers of Solidor, fabricators benefit from world-class service. They can buy both brands easily and quickly online with Solidor Cloud. It means offering a fantastic choice and quality to homeowners without the stress and hassle of making or dual sourcing.”
