Job Position: Apprentice Tool Maker

Job Description:

Eurocell PLC are a dynamic manufacturer, distributor, and recycler of building products, and we serve the nation via our network of over 200 retail branches across the UK.  We know that our people are our greatest asset, and we are delighted to be growing our team further as we have a requirement for an Apprentice Tool Maker to join our busy team at our Alfreton site.

As an Apprentice, you will complete a relevant Apprenticeship programme with a local training provider for 20% of your working time. You will learn the practical skills and the theory along with working with skilled craftsmen learning both machining and hand skills required.

This is an exciting position for someone who is keen to join a stable, forward thinking company where you can learn and develop their skills further.

Shifts

4 on / 4 off – Days

0600-1800

Duties:

Manufacture extrusion and injection moulding tools
Maintaining tooling for our production lines
Ensure all extrusion tools are kept in good working order to enable production to meet its requirements.
Ensure all breakdowns are covered in a timely manner to ensure production downtime is kept to a minimum.
Operate machines and carry out all other activities in a safe and responsible manner and maintain a clean and tidy environment within the department.
Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of all work produced
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

4 GCSES’s at grade C or equivalent
Excellent team working
Good organisational skills
Reliability, good time keeping and attendance
A high level of self-motivation
Ability to communicate at all levels professionally
Ability to work under pressure
Driven to achieve high standards
