We know that our people are our greatest asset, and we are delighted to be growing our team further as we are looking for a customer focussed, commercially aware Branch Sales Manager to manage and develop our customer base across Stoke and Shrewsbury.
Our Branch Sales Managers are primarily field based sales and customer development roles, these are pivotal positions within our branch network. You will be responsible for driving new business, opening new customer accounts and maintaining existing customer accounts; whilst working to our ethos of always putting the customer first to ensure customer needs are at the heart of everything we do.
Previous Field Sales experience and new business development ability is essential, as is a high degree of commercial awareness and an understanding of negotiation and the impact of profit margins. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, target orientated and a genuine team player, and have the desire to succeed. Solid IT skills and a current, full driving license are essential.
Build relationships with new and existing customers to improve the volume and probability of sales Ensure customer satisfaction in all areas through regular feedback Agree marketing and sales campaigns with Regional Management Team In conjunction with the Branch Manager monitor discounts given to customers Prepare quotations for potential customers Work with the Branch Manager to ensures deliveries to Customers are made within agreed timescales Implement innovation and change management initiatives to improve business performance Responsible for the management, development and motivation of the branch staff Report the branch results and implement corrective actions Agree marketing and sales campaigns with Regional Management Team
Key Skills / Experience:
Consistent track record of field based business development success and managing trade staff. Experienced within the building, merchanting or industrial supplies industry Commercial awareness, with an understanding of negotiation and profit margins Excellent sales and negotiation skills and be accomplished at preparing and delivering sales presentations to a diverse customer base Self-motivated, target orientated, proactive in approach and have great commercial acumen A confident IT user A “can do”, solution focussed outlook A valid driving licence is essential
