Job Position: Senior Design Manager

Job Description:

Based in Surrey, my client is a leading manufacturer of roof lights and other glazing products and currently has an opportunity within their design team for a Senior Design Manager/Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical and architectural designing, developing and delivering new products as part of the company’s product development plan.
In this role, you will design and develop new products, working closely with other members of the technical department to ensure the design brief is fully understood; manage projects from design concept through to first stock delivery and produce all associated 2D engineering drawings and BOM’s.

You will commission rapid prototypes of design proposals and all projects will be managed in line with existing processes, each stage requiring successful completion of product testing and validation.

Successful candidates must have glazing industry knowledge and a minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design SolidWorks as well as being proficient with AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
