This is a press release by the National Fenestration Awards:
Over these past few weeks, many people and companies from UK fenestration have been going above and beyond to help contribute in the fight against COVID-19. We have watched as people from our industry have become volunteers, companies have swapped from making windows to making face masks and parts for medical equipment. It truly has shown some of the more compassionate traits of our sector.
In light of this amazing effort, we are launching our COVID Heroes award categories. These will replace certain categories that will be withdrawn due to the disruption within UK fenestration.
The aim of these new categories will be to shine a light on the people and companies who have made special efforts to combat the disease. We will be taking nominations from today. There will be three individual winners, and three company winners in this category. Although we want to stress that the efforts of all those who contributed to the fight against COVID-19 will be acknowledged by the National Fenestration Awards this year.
As with the rest of the campaign, we are not fixing a finish date for nominations, as we yet do not know when a sense of regular working can commence. Once a clearer picture is known we will publish new dates for the end of the nominations phase of this year’s competition.
