Members of the Reynaers UK team will join colleagues from across Reynaers Group worldwide at the BAU Exhibition in Munich 17 – 21st April 2023.

BAU Munich is a trade fair for architecture, materials, and systems that takes place every two years in Munich, Germany.  The event brings together architects, designers, engineers, and other professionals in the construction industry to showcase the latest products and technologies in the field.

The event will see Reynaers Aluminium and Forster, both part of the Reynaers Group, join forces for the first time to give visitors a unique view of all the possibilities aluminium and steel can offer in the building sector. Reynaers Aluminium will be on stand 331 in Hall B1 with the Forster Stand 329 adjacent. Both stands cover an area of approximately 416m² and share an extensive hospitality area for visitors.

The central theme of the stand will focus on the company’s continued efforts to make both building materials more sustainable. Reynaers Group launched its sustainability strategy, “Reynaers Act”, last year which sets out the company’s commitment to a series of ambitious sustainable objectives. One of the goals is to enable its customers to make greener and more energy-efficient choices for their building projects.

“One of the priorities in our sustainability efforts is to help partners make more ecological choices. We demonstrate our commitment at BAU with the launch of interesting new features” says Ken Wright, Corporate Sustainability Manager.

The UK team heading to BAU includes Managing Director of Reynaers UK, Richard Hall, who will be joined by John McComb, Technical Services Director and sustainability lead for Reynaers UK.  In addition, key members of the sales and marketing team will be attending the exhibition, some of which will be part of the stand crew with a large team of staff from Reynaers Group’s other sites situated worldwide.

“It’s a privilege to support Reynaers Group at BAU 2023,” explains Richard Hall. “The Reynaers and Forster stands look impressive and showcase a range of new innovations on the horizon, including the Group’s new developments in windows, doors and curtain wall, as well as state-of-the-art smart technology which will be rolled out to the UK market in the coming months.”

Reynaers Aluminium will also introduce DigiTrace, its new digital product passport at the event, which enables quick and easy access to all product data and will be rolled out fully in 2024. By scanning the QR code on the tag of a particular element, end-users will be able to access relevant and accurate information about the product. This enables architects and contractors to check system and technical characteristics or immediately access documents, such as maintenance instructions and the CE passport. In the future, DigiTrace will make circular data, such as featured product materials, readily available. As a result, Reynaers Aluminium increases its transparency about material resources while enabling stakeholders to maintain systems more sustainably.

“For Reynaers Aluminium and Forster, BAU 2023 is the perfect opportunity to get together with all our professional partners and help them bring projects to the next level. Especially when it comes to solutions that need to meet increasingly stringent sustainability standards” says Dominique Schaeken, Chief Marketing Officer at Reynaers Group.
