Job Position: Production Operative

Job Description:

We are manufacturers of u-PVC windows and doors, based in Swindon and supplying trade customers across Southern England and South Wales.

We are looking for production staff who have an understanding of angles and numbers, and who can display confidence and capability in the use of a range of equipment from tape measures and chisels to electric drills and CNC machines. We require staff to carry out a range of different roles, from running machines to hands-on assembly. You must be capable of using power tools and hand tools, or at least be willing and able to learn. Bench joinery experience would be a distinct advantage. Once trained, you will manufacture to the highest standards without close supervision, hitting targets, meeting deadlines and ensuring quality is maintained at all times.

You must be physically fit and capable of standing throughout your shift. Some heavier lifting is required, although we expect staff to ask for assistance to lift or turn heavy, large or awkward frames. .

As a successful applicant, you will show initiative and drive, and you will want to succeed in this role. You will be self-motivated and reliable, with a good attendance record, and you will take pride in a job well done. As you become more experienced, there may be opportunities for promotion.

Full time working hours are 8-00am to 4-30pm, Monday to Friday, making 40 hours a week, with compulsory overtime as required (worked before or after the daily shift, depending on which Section you are placed in), however we will consider applications from Mums and Dads who are looking for work to fit around school hours. .Starting pay will depend on previous experience.

We have free parking, and easy access by bus.
