Just before the year was out Brisant Secure dropped a brand new product announcement. It was to expand its popular Sweet hardware range with a Rose Gold option. It looks stunning!

A first

As far as I’m aware, this is the first range of external door hardware in Rose Gold. I had a quick look online and found a few internal door handles, but nothing for external doors.

The Sweet door hardware range was already the first to bring out a properly suited range, in which the door knocker, handle, letter box and numerals were all based around the single same round design. Personally, I like it. Its properly suited, its made a mockery of the salt spray booth. You can buy a Chrome handle which won’t pit!

Now they have added Rose Gold to their range of colours and I cannot wait to get some in the showroom. I don’t think they’ll be assuming that it will be popular at first, but I think once this starts to flow to installers, its going to sell in numbers far better than they think.

Take a look:

What I do expect is for others to follow suit. Rose Gold is popular in other sectors. The iPhone is perhaps the most popular example of a product which looks good in Rose Gold. I did once see a customer near the end of last year who had dark Blue kitchen cabinets with Rose Gold fixtures and fittings and I thought the contrast was fantastic.

Rose Gold will look best on contrasting colours on doors such as dark Blue, Black, Grey, it can even make a plain White door look something much more special than it is. Come Spring I expect to see some amazing door installations with the Rose Gold hardware really standing out.
