One of the biggest advantages of the new Loggia product from Ultraframe is it’s energy efficiency. They spent a lot of time, money and effort developing the product to be more energy efficient than a traditional brick extension. And after putting one in the showroom, I can confirm that it’s energy performance is actually amazing.

Our Loggia gets the first few hours of sun at the start of the day, and then leaves the sun’s path just after lunch. When I stepped inside it at roughly 4pm this afternoon, it was like the heating had been on all day. I would like to point out that at this point no heating device of any time had been on today at all. The glass roof, the Loggia columns and the A rated windows and doors that make up the whole thing do an amazing job at keeping the heat inside. Just put a desk in there and I would happily make it my own!

However, what I have just described has only been made possible due to the fact that we have an OUTDOOR show site. As far as I’m concerned, if you’re going to display Loggias or conservatories, the best way is to do it outdoors where you can show off all the energy efficient benefits and give the customer an accurate feeling of how their new purchase will suit them. A big warehouse unit full of Loggias or conservatories will never be able to recreate that effect. Don’t get me wrong, if you don’t have the space for one externally and it’s you’re only option, then there’s no option and that’s fine. But, if you are lucky enough to have the outdoor space to put a Loggia or conservatory on it, then do it! There’s no better way to help sell some form of glazed extension than displaying it proudly outside and signing up the customer inside it!
