This news seems to have gone a bit unnoticed, but there has been a new exhibition unveiled, from the same guys who put together the FiT Show.

The new exhibition is called The Build Show, and judging from the press release, it will be an event aimed specifically at the contractors sector of the building sector. You’ll have to excuse my initial analysis at this, but I’m not quite sure how an exhibition aimed at contractors would actually work?

Will there be companies their showing products? Will it be a show full of seminars teaching how to gain new business? Not quite sure, but I am certain all will become clear as time goes on and more details.

“We were delighted with the success of The FIT Show [at Telford] in year one and we’re confident that The Build Show at The NEC will be equally impressive, with potential to become the biggest building and construction show in the UK,” said Paul Godwin, managing director of FIT/Build Show Events.

“The building industry suffered badly in the recession, but we’re excited about the future with all of the key market indicators showing growth. The Build Show will have a clear focus on attracting contractors of all sizes; that’s our core visitor target group and a key sector that has not enjoyed a successful exhibition for many years now. Early response has been very positive indeed.”

Let see how this pans out.
