The FIT Show. If you haven’t heard about it, you’ve probably been sleeping under a rock for the last 4 months! One of the star attractions of the event is the Sales Professional Of The Year competition.

The event is going to put 20 of the best sales people the industry has to offer through a series of challenges designed to show off their best abilities. This is the first competition of it’s kind as far as everyone is aware and is a good way to show that the industry ISN’T full of stereotypical, old fashioned hard-sell sales people as is often portrayed.

Quotatis have been heavily involved in the whole process. Quotatis staff are involved in canvassing the entrants, they’re helping with the creation of the judging panel and Sales Director Teresa Gizzi is also sitting on the judging panel.

The winner of the competition will receive a tasty £5000. The company to which the sales person belongs will also receive a cheque for £5000. And on top of that, there will be a £1500 sales course, delivered by professional sales trainers. The winner of the competition will be given his/her accolade at the FIT Show Gala Awards Dinner. Meaning he/she can be celebrated in front of his/her peers.

Quotatis MD Peter Jervis had this to say: “The FIT Show Sales Professional of the Year aims to improve the general image of home improvement sales people by raising standard and recognising those who strive to do the job conscientiously and ethically, whilst generating high levels of sales”.

As I have said in previous posts, the cowboy image the industry has has been created by the minority of companies who fail to do a professional job. This sort of competition has come a a time where the industry is really trying hard to show the general public that the mass majority of people and companies are not as the reputation makes you believe.

I think that companies like Quotatis, who are backing the competition and providing much help in it’s set up are to be applauded for supporting such a good cause. For info about their lead generation options for both solar and double glazing, please click here.
