The pandemic continues to cause problems around the world when it comes to event planning. This time it is Bau China 2021 which has had to move its dates. Thankfully not too far, only to mid-December and just before Christmas.

China does continue to have a very strict COVID containment policy, and so any hint of a possible problem and the Government steps in.

Bau China 2021 Statement

This is the official release from the show, as per their website:

Dear Exhibitors, Visitors and Partners:

According to the most updated pandemic prevention and control requirements in Shanghai, the Organizing Committee have prudently come to decide that: The BAU CHINA 2021, including FBC (FENESTRATION BAU China), CADE(China Architectural Design Expo), RealTech Expo and China Roofing and Waterproofing Expo, originally scheduled to be held in Shanghai·Pudong·New International Expo Center from November 2 to 5, 2021 will be postponed to be held from December 19 to 22, 2021. At the same time, the venue has been changed to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) (Shanghai). All concurrent conferences and events of the exhibitions during the same period will also be moved to the updated dates and venue.

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused by the postponement of the exhibitions! We will immediately launch the adjustment work. In parallel, during the nearly 50 days of extension, we will work closely with our media and industry partners to upgrade promotion to ensure the success of our exhibition. We are fully confident that we will present a fantastic gala of premium quality for the industry.

Last but not least, we would like to extend our gratitude to all the exhibitors, visitors and partners in such a special period. Your understanding and support are the drivers for our continuous efforts to forge forward.

See you in December in Shanghai!

The Organizing Committee of BAU CHINA

So not only a change of date but a change of venue. This is quite a shift so close to the originally planned opening date. Hopefully, all goes well in December.
